LIFE®︎ INOCHI / LIFE Art for Peace Project

From the sacred Japanese land of Izumo, we are beginning a journey out into the world.

Through LIFE, a circle of resonance is spreading across borders.

Performer Profiles

đź’« Masahiko Hashimoto

An artist whose voice touches the melodies of the heart,

and the director, writer, and composer of LIFE® INOCHI — Re-experience Birth.

To bring his abilities into society, he began “Concerts of the Heart,” healing concerts with the concept of “healing the heart and returning to love.” Mothers struggling with parenting spoke of how his singing brought tears naturally to their eyes, drawing attention and leading to a feature on NHK’s Asaichi.

In recognition of this work, he received the Youth Worker Supporter Award, presented to outstanding educators by the Japan Youth Leaders Association.

The song “Nukumori no Kioku” (Memories of Warmth), composed and sung by Masahiko Hashimoto, with lyrics by Masahiko Hashimoto and Sayaka Hashimoto,

was recognized as a Children’s Welfare Cultural Asset recommended by the Social Security Council of Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

The illustrated poetry book “Happy Birthday — What Our Encounters with Life Teach Us”

was published by Chuohoki Publishing, with poetry by Masahiko Hashimoto and Sayaka Hashimoto, illustrations and text by Yoh Shomei, and text by Masato Takeuchi, Akira Ikegawa, and Fumiko Inoue.

His works on the theme of love and life have been described as conveying a love that transcends life and death,

and his social activities have grown to include grief-care concerts at St. Luke’s International Hospital and Kurume University.

In 2018, seeking to bring the world together through love, he created the planetarium film “LIFE® INOCHI — Re-experience Birth in a Planetarium.”

Taking on the writing, direction, narration, and music, he expanded his artistic expression into film.

The film evokes a mother’s womb through the space of the planetarium dome,

bringing the connection between the universe and life together with the connection between mother and child, and tracing the vast journey of life.

By returning to the source of love and life, the work invites us to feel the wonder of being alive, here and now.

In 2020, the film was screened at the World Women’s Conference in India, hosted by Art of Living, where people from 158 countries

working to contribute to society came together. The screening received a standing ovation.

It was also selected for the IPS 2020 Conference, the world’s largest international planetarium conference, which selects only 20 works from around the world,

and for Europe’s largest FullDome Festival Brno in 2020 and 2021.

In 2020, as the age of AI approached, he established LIFE Education®︎, an educational program designed to help individuals realize their full potential.

Unconfined by any single form of expression, he continues to create work and activities that bring happiness to many people.

🎹 Sergio Baietta

A pianist, conductor and composer from Verona in northern Italy.

A teacher at an Italian state conservatory and director of the Master Orchestra.

His exceptional versatility spans Baroque and Romantic classical music, jazz and film music, earning the trust of people across many fields.

He has appeared as a soloist with the Arena di Verona Orchestra, the Teatro Olimpico Orchestra and the Chioggia Municipal Orchestra. He is also active as an accompanist for instrumentalists and singers; his acclaimed performance with clarinetist Richard Stoltzman remains a recent highlight.

His originality has been recognized in performances that interpret Michael Jackson and Queen in the style of Liszt and bring film scores together with classical masterpieces in his own arrangements. He has also been featured on NHK’s “Classic TV.”

He is one of the few Italian pianists to have performed at the Blue Note in New York, a celebrated home of jazz.

He has also appeared in films and television programs starring Il Volo.

Since his first appearance in Japan as the piano soloist in Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, he has visited more than ten times, performing regularly at Suntory Hall, the Italian Cultural Institute and venues around the country.

He made his Chinese debut as a conductor in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 at Beijing Jiaotong University. At the Chinese government’s invitation, he made a special arrangement of the national anthem and performed it for a ceremony marking the “70th anniversary of communism,” receiving an enthusiastic response.

He later performed at the invitation of FC Barcelona during football’s Rakuten Cup.

He also has extensive specialist knowledge of the symbolic systems and history of tarot cards. His long friendships with film director A. Jodorowsky, writer Igor Sibaldi and G. Abbate, an authority on the study of immortality, have had a considerable influence on him.

In his piano concert “The Resonance of Tarot,” which began in Italy, he composes and performs therapeutic music for the allegorical image on each tarot card, attracting a strong response.
