Collaboration with Sergio Baietta
On June 4, 2022, at Urala-kan in Izumo,
Sergio Baietta is a pianist, conductor and composer from Verona, northern Italy.
He is a lecturer at the Italian National Academy of Music. He is Master Orchestra Director and has been active as a soloist with the Arena di Verona Orchestra, the Teatro Olimpico Orchestra and the Chioggia Municipal Orchestra. He is also an excellent accompanist for instrumental and vocal performances, and his collaboration with clarinetist Richard Stoltzman is still fresh in our memory.
In Japan, he performed Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 for the first time as a piano soloist with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra (Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra). Since then he has visited Japan more than 10 times, giving regular performances at the Suntory Hall and the Italian Cultural Institute.
He made his Chinese conducting debut with Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 at Beijing Jiaotong University. At the special request of the Chinese government to celebrate the "70th anniversary", he arranged the national anthem for "Communist Day" and received great acclaim.
